Ultrasound Tech-PRN - Radiology
PRN Ultrasound Technologist Position Available-NO CALL AND NO WEEKEND HOURS!
This person will have the opportunity to fill in on days when the full-time tech needs to be off from work Monday-Friday.
Position Description:
Performs diagnostic ultrasound exams for evaluation and treatment.
Minimal Qualifications:
1. Education:
a. RDMS or Registry eligible
2. Experience:
a. Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience.
Physical/Mental Demands:
Ability to interact with patients at Putnam General Hospital, considerable standing and walking. Ability to apply oral instructions, to maintain composure with irate customers, maintain confidential information and listen effectively to others.

The following are the responsibilities of this position and the factors upon which evaluation is based:
1. Performs routine exams as well as carotid, venous doppler, arterial doppler, general, and OB/GYN examinations.
2. Positions and transfers patients.
3. Selects and utilizes proper technical factors to produce quality diagnostic exams.
4. Transports patients
5. Maintains ultrasound records and patient log sheets
6. Is responsible for all supplies necessary for ultrasound exams
7. Consults with patient, physician, and other to obtain complete history.
8. Demonstrates appropriate assessment, treatment and care giving skills for the various ages of the patients served by this hospital.
9. Follows appropriate infection control practices.
