Position Description:
Responsible for delivering quality direct care services to acutely ill patients of all ages under the guidance and supervision of a licensed nurse. The CNA observes patients for changes and responses and reports to the licensed nurse. Assumes responsibility for supporting and following hospital policy and procedures.
Minimal Qualifications:
1. Education
a. Certified Nursing Assistant
b. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Experience
a. On the job training, hospital and department orientation.
3. Personal skills
a. Human relation skills are needed for personal interaction with other employees, patients, physicians and the general public.
b. Must be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, cooperative, responsible, compassionate, and courteous.
