Position Description: Works under the general supervision of the Department Manager and Medical Director to provide clerical and clinical support within the Sleep Center/DME department. The technologist must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with patients in regards to professional customer service and distribution of both Sleep and DME information. Professional communication within the organization and the medical community is a necessity. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient care and education.
a. Successful completion of a polysomnography program or equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
b. Current RPSGT registry
a. Must have 1 year clinical experience from a previous Sleep Laboratory or graduate from a polysomnography program.
a. Current CPR certification for Health Care Providers
b. Human relation skills are needed for personal interaction with other employees, patients, physicians, and the general public. Ability to be pleasant, cheerful, tactful, cooperative, responsible, compassionate, and courteous is required.
