Putnam General Hospital Health Fair 2010

On Saturday April, 24th from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Putnam General Hospital will hold the annual Health Fair out in front of the hospital.

This year's health fair will include over 30 informational booths and many free health screenings. Free screenings include blood pressure, glucose, vision, hearing, BMI and sleep disorders.

The fair will also continue to offer complete blood work and PSA tests at a discounted price. Blood work will be $45 and PSA will be $26. The health fair has also included a new test this year to check thyroid. The TSH test will be priced at $24. If you would like to have blood work done that day, please do not eat 8 hours prior to the test. The complete blood work includes a complete blood check, a lipid profile, and a comprehensive chemistry panel. The lipid profile will check cholesterol, triglyceride levels, HDL, and LDL cholesterol. The comprehensive chemistry panel checks to make sure the liver and kidneys are functioning properly and checks the electrolyte levels of your blood.
