Community Impact
While our primary role will always be as a champion for your health, our relationship with the community is much more than the 25 patient beds that we house, the over 140 employees that we employ, and the millions of dollars in economic impact we generate. Quality community healthcare requires not only the best doctors, nurses, and health professionals, but also a constant commitment to improving the health of all of our citizens each and every day.

We believe that advocating health and integrating healthy living into the lives of our community through awareness, prevention, and support is one of the most important ways we can reach out to the community. Putnam General Hospital strives to meet the continued needs of our community and its members.

Event Sponsorship/Community Speaking
With the hustle and bustle of community events, Putnam General Hospital serves as a sponsor/participant for several local events each year. We are proud that our employees choose to donate their time to these events as well. They run, walk, buy tickets, and organize raffles and bake sales, and find countless other ways to make a meaningful impact on the patient community we serve.

Our goal is to make sure the community is educated on healthcare and what Putnam General brings to the community. For more information on having a Putnam General representative speak to your school, church or organizational group or for a group tour please call (706) 485-2028.

Health Fairs
The PGH Health Fair is an annual event to promote healthy living in Putnam County and the surrounding lake areas. Participants may sign up for complete blood work at a reduced cost, get tested for prostate cancer, and visit over 35 informational booths that cover a variety of health topics. This public service is free to the community and services over 200 participants each year.

Putnam General is committed to healthy working environments. We offer our services for local community and work place health fairs. If your business is interested in hosting a health fair, please call (706) 485-2028 to schedule.
