Putnam General Hospital Welcomes Board-Certified Gynecologist

EATONTON, GA - February 9, 2015 - Putnam General Hospital, Navicent Health Partner is pleased to welcome Shanna B. Holcomb, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.

Dr. Holcomb is a native of Greensboro, GA where she attended Greene-Taliaferro High School and graduated Salutatorian in 1996. Following high school, she earned her B.S. in Chemistry and Minor in Biology from Georgia College & State University, Medical Degree from Mercer University School of Medicine and completed a four year OB/GYN residency at Palmetto Health, University of South Carolina.

During her residency Dr. Holcomb was the recipient of many honors including Administrative Chief Resident (2009 - 2010), Best Teaching Resident of the Year (2007 - 2008), Resident of the Year (2007), and Best Surgical Resident (2010). After completing her residency, she joined Women's Care Center in Milledgeville, GA and was a physician there from 2010 - 2014. In 2013, Dr. Holcomb became a board-certified physician and continues to maintain board certification.
