The Foundation Donates $17,900 to Putnam General Hospital
EATONTON, GA - August 1, 2014. The PGH Foundation donated $17,900 to Putnam General Hospital on Friday, July 25th. The funds will be used to purchase a bedside ultrasound. "Putnam General Hospital extends its sincere gratitude to the Foundation for their support," said CEO, Alan Horton. "This donation will help us to continue to provide high quality medical care to our patients and to our community."
Bedside ultrasounds allow ED physicians to diagnose selected conditions accurately, report faster turnaround times and offer more expedient diagnoses of potential life-threatening emergencies, such as internal hemorrhage following a blunt trauma, abdominal emergencies, pericardial tamponade and aortic aneurysms.
"The Foundation puts a great deal of effort and energy into this worthwhile charity but we would not be successful without the support we receive throughout the community." said Dr. Betzel, Foundation President. The funds were generated through the 2013 annual giving campaign.
