Putnam General Hospital Thanks Foundation for Cardiac Monitoring System Donation

EATONTON, GA - March 6, 2013. The staff and patients in the Cardiac Rehab Program at Putnam General Hospital would like to thank the hospital's Foundation board for donating funds to purchase the new ScottCare Versa Care cardiac monitoring system. The new software program includes updated individualized treatment care plans, measurement performance goals and plans of care, and outcome measurements for each patient. The Foundation raised the funds for the cardiac monitoring system during the 2012 golf tournament held at Harbor Club.

Putnam General Hospital's Cardiac Rehab program in now in its 15th year and provides a way for patients who have had heart attacks, stent placements, bypass surgeries, valve repairs/replacements, angioplasties, heart transplants, and other heart conditions to be able to exercise locally 3 days a week for 12 weeks while being monitored by trained staff. It's a great way for a patient to transcend back into the activities of daily living after experiencing a heart event and it is covered by Medicare and most insurance companies. We service Putnam, Greene, Hancock, Morgan and Jasper counties. Referrals are initiated through your physician and can be made by calling Angela Mauldin at (706) 923-2149 or (706) 923-2150
